Green Building Standards
Overview
Our sustainable development practice can provide a broad array of legal services in the area of green building. The firm’s attorneys are well-versed in green building standards, including the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (“LEED”) certification. We can provide counsel on all aspects of the LEED certification process, including project planning, rating system selection, contract drafting and negotiations, credit interpretation requests and appeals, and risk management strategies. Edgcomb Law Group can advise clients on rapidly emerging green building regulations including San Francisco’s Green Building Ordinance, California’s Green Building Standards Code, and the Presidential Executive Order, signed on October 5, 2009, which sets numerous green building requirements for the federal government.
